LA-based singer, Tinashe released a single with fellow LA artist and Top Dawg Entertainment stalwart, Schoolboy Q, earlier this year called “2 On”.  Another LA-based and Brainfeeder artist, TOKIMONSTA, decided to ‘remix the track for fun,’ as she outlined on her Soundcloud page. TOKIMONSTA takes the produced-for-prime-time R&B pop tune and makes it slightly more tasteful by taking out the group “hey” chants and gives it more of an organic feel with bells and syncopated percussion. Tinashe’s timbre is reminiscent of Cassie and TOKIMONSTA gives the track a bit of that “Me & You” vibe.  It’s a pretty fun pop remix and I almost prefer it to the original. Check it out here:
