Austin-based DJ/producer Bird Peterson, created a mix of Dilla-style re-workings of holiday songs, [mostly] from animated tv specials throughout the years called Bird Peterson’s Holiday Spectacular.  He released it a few years ago for free on Mad Decent and it’s been in constant rotation every holiday season since. This year, however, video artist &/OR created a long-form video for the entire mix, incorporating footage from the original specials, (Mister Magoo’s Christmas Carol, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Year Without a Santa Claus, The Snowman, etc.) that Bird Peterson sampled, and adding in footage from holiday movies and TV shows.

So today, on this most wonderful of occasions, we give you more than a song, but several so you can open your presents in a slightly familiar yet groovy soundtrack. Replace that fake fireplace on your flatscreen, and have this audio/visual mix play instead.  Happy Holidays to you and yours!
