Summer has arrived in DC (100 degrees tomorrow) and with it, the Fort Reno concert series. There was a time when I would make it out nearly every Monday and Thursday but in recent years I’m averaging maybe one concert every summer. Maybe if I had a dog or kids it would be different…

Here is a song by Eyes of the Killer Robot. A part time project featuring a brother and two sisters, they have played in DC occasionally over the years. I don’t know if they are currently active, or the name of this song and I can’t find any pictures of them online. I like it quite a bit and it captures the Fort Reno experience, minus the crushing humidity and bugs. The band seems not to take themselves too seriously and the music is high energy and enjoyable. I like the panning shot at 2:24 that shows they are rocking out for exactly one dude.
