Song of the Day: Ramp “Daylight (SMQ Edit)”

RAMP—which stands for Roy Ayers Music Production—was a group that released one album, Come Into Knowledge, back in 1977. The whole album drips with funky vibes and wonderful musicianship, and the main cut was “Everybody Loves The Sunshine,” which I find still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when played at the right time. “Daylight” was the other strong cut from the album (sampled by A Tribe Called Quest on “Bonita Applebaum”), which I’m featuring here by the way of SMQ who does a fine job editing the song. Check it out and leave a comment on the soundcloud if your so inclined.
