I’m a sucker for a good ballad that hits deep down, and this one really brings it. It’s extra cool since both labels it came out on, first HOW BIG, and then Tri-Us, are based out of nearby Norfolk, Virginia. This song has been on my mind since I was able to secure a deal for a copy recently. Though it’s not the rarest 45 on want list, the band—when combined with the deep soul-laden voice of Wilson Williams—cooks with enough emotion and underlying power that it can hang with any of the big boys. Definitely a good one to sit back and relax to. Push play!
