Halloween stop-motion video shot entirely on iPhone

It is October and Halloween approaches! While I obsess over the playlist for my [semi] annual Halloween mix, check out this horrific little creation from filmmaker/musician/photographer/designer Jason Willis.

Jason shares my affinity for spooky records and vintage Halloween in general (check out his Scar Stuff blog; terrific fun for the nostalgic, Halloween-loving kid in all of us!). So I was pretty excited when I found the latest rotten fruits of his grave digging labor.

He shot this simply wonderful stop action film using his iPhone and the very popular Hipstamatic app. A miniature graveyard is populated by all kinds of vintage monster toys and soundtracked by “Halloween,” the title track from the 1974 children’s record by Kay Lande & Wade Denning.

You can read Jason’s in-depth account of creating this spooky masterpiece here and here.
